My angel Lucy

These photos just do not do justice to how cute Lucy is while doing her "ballerinas" but I just had to take some photos anyway... The other photo... the one of an absolute bombsite in Seb's room... was taken a couple of nights ago. I went to tuck him in and nearly died - I have no idea how he rounded up all that stuff and got it in his room with no one knowing, and the THING he built is some kind of... ummm I forget. Something he did not want to dismantle and he invited the neighbour boys to come and play in. The rollerskates have some kind of significance... so does everything actually. I love that boy, but heck, he makes a mess!

my girlies - about 2 years ago

well I have just worked out how to bluetooth the photos from my phone to my laptop... so i have 3 years of funny photos that have reminded me of how cute the kids were when they were little (now they are enormous giants), with few teeth, and bold enough to use my phone camera when i was not around! You'd be surprised what I have just learnt about the kids...

So here is a photo of Jessica the other day photographing her retro vintage stuff to sell, Sebastien on his 6th birthday wearing a cake on his head, Lucy going to school the other day in her favourite outfit and probably just a few of the kids being themselves xxx

Okay I'm back

I've been so slack about posting to this blog that I forgot I even had one... But my valiant friends that keeps theirs up and running have reinspired me.

My sister Jessica has been living at our house for the last 3 weeks. She moved in and set up her vintage/retro clothing business up in our living room. The kids were loving the dress-ups and now Lucy knows all the best places to buy vintage clothing in town... by their toybaskets. She requests certain ones "Mama, can we go da one wiff da wocking chair?" "oh nooooo, I don't like dat one, I want da one wiff da books".

Sebastien is now on an ice hockey team and loves it. I think he loves it more than rugby, but don't tell Grandad that. Dom is trying out for a team tonight - go Dom! Megane is still dancing and drawing every minute that she is not required to do other stuff. She still gets up early (5am) to get her "fun stuff" done.

The kids broke my camera (yes, the new one) last month and I am yet to replace it but I promise I will get some more pictures up soon because the kids are getting so grown-up. There pictures are from our trip to Canada.

it's about time I posted!

I'm shocked that it has been at least 6 months since i posted anything here... Lots has happened of course - Sebastien has broken his left arm (don't ask how it is going with him "not allowed" to do any sports), Lucy has learnt a lot of letters, Megane has been in the school musical, Megane and Sebas have had their piano recital (and it went very well) and this weekend the kids are in the Pugeot Armstrong Festival of Cycyling at 12am Saturday and then at 1pm the girls have to be at the town hall for their first performance of the end of year Dance Recital. I've been working and trying to keep up with the kids. The corriander I planted is now big enough to eat. Oh and the chickens have been rehomed with a family that is battling breast cancer and are trying to be all organic, free-range, dairy-free, wheat-free. We will get more as soon as the grass has regrown in their play area.
Aside from that we are excited for Sebastien to turn 8 in a couple of weeks. He gets baptised on the 21st December, and then we will have a lovely relaxing summer since Dom is taking a month off work :) i couldn't think of a better Crhistmas present! I'll post photos soon xxx

the girls

i had a very hard time getting these two to sit still long enough to take a decent photo... hence the eyes are shut most of the time. They are supposed to be sleeping right now but they are yahooing and jumping on the beds. Dom has washed his hands of them so Shannon and I are supposed to be sorting it out. Ho Hum.
Sebastien and William are having just as much fun in their room. Don't ask me how they are doing it but they are all asleep at 10pm and up by 5.30am! Oh well, only a few more days and then they can all go to bed at a decent hour again.
