Meet Lachie...

Meet Lachie, Lucy's dog pencil case, come best friend.  They go everywhere together, and she makes him talk and move like a puppet.  Who knew she had this kind of talent?  Anyway, one day Lachie hid from Lucy when it was time to go to school and then 10 minutes later reappeared begging to come to school with me!!  As you will see, he had a great day at school.  I wish you could see the pictures of him playing with my students...  Lucy loved seeing what he got up to that day :)
Yes, I take a suitcase to work.  I have THAT MUCH stuff to lug around!!!
Lachie trying to climb up to get the stamps on my desk...
Lachie teaching French on VC...  This is him barking into the microphone.  His French is pretty good considering...
And typing!  That dog wanted in on all the action so I let him plan a lesson or two...

Our wee jaunt to America (minus the gastro bit)

Those apricots were AMAZING.  I never expect to re-create tihs experience in my life.  It was too sublime.
So excited!  I took photo of us all!
 No comment really....
Can you see how  happy I am??  Chuck time!  Ruby slippers!  Air con!!
The AIDS quilt (well, a tiny part of it)  - there are just no words...
 Again, no words...
Meg met Selena...  Aunty Chuck really came thru on this one!

Maike has a new haircut!

She just could not be cuter!

ABs vs Ireland

Some things make me happy.
Chocolate is one.
Icecream is two.
The All Blacks is right up there with #1 I think.  I can even put up with winter since it means we get the ABs on TV.  I won't mention the score.  I don't want to rub it in...

School visit to the marae

Seb's in here if you look closely....

And this is probably what should have been expected

When I saw the other photos of maori in a waka, all dressed up in traditional dress, rowing along quietly I thought "hmmmm, there will be some people that are going to be quite upset by this group participating in the celebration due to certain aspects of our history" but then I saw this photo of another group in a waka and I thought - "yip, that's more like it."  And I guess I'll just leave it at that.  (except to say that I expected more of a bare-bum protest)

About Me

My photo
Our family of 5 currently lives in Christchurch, New Zealand. I love being here because of the weather, the clean water, Dad living 5 minutes from us, and our Ward. I miss my friends and family overseas and invite you all to come here for a holiday!
