Dom went out to the airport to his office...

Dom is out at the airport at the moment. His office was in the BRAND NEW parking building (on the top floor). It was made to twist and turn with the quake so it did... like the agitator in a washing machine. Only problem being that the top floor was full of desks and papers and such which all went flying. I am so glad it didn't happen during the day when Dom was sitting there. He said they won't be back in that office for a while, and are now in pre-fabs on the ground. Today all the office guys are trying to find their computers and set them back up.

The poor guy who works in the control tower (also brand new) was thrown around so much when the control tower rocked and shook that he was thrown repeatedly into walls and he is now totally traumatised and refuses to ever go up the control tower again. I also heard that the Christchurch Womens' Hospital had a record number of births in the 12 hours after the quake... 21 births! Mind you, I'm not surprised at all. It would scare the baby out of anyone! (A lot of people I know are also saying the first thing they did after it stopped shaking was going to the toilet for #2 - how funny is that!)
