We are so blessed! The storm was wild last night, but it blew itself away!! I haven't spoken to Dad yet about what kinds of call-outs he had last night, but he would have been busy. We had a few aftershocks but the bunker was not needed. As schools are closed until Wednesday I've got the kids at home with me... I'm going to take them to a park so they can play on the playground while I run around the park because I am desperate for a run. They can jolly well wait in the car while I duck into the gym for a shower.
My angel father somehow, somewhere found us a huge water container and delivered it sometime during the night (when he was out at a call I guess). We woke up this morning to a big, beautiful water container (I don't know how many litres it takes but it is as high as my leg). Where does the man find these things *in a state of emergency earthquake zone?* The miind boggles. Now I just have to find someway to fill it... and we are set :) I love Dad! Oh and I should mention that next to this big beautiful fountain of life was a FULL water container, the kind you put on a water cooler. No one in Christchurch uses those as we have (had) the cleanest city water in the world, closely followed by the city of Evian, France...
