Cher Richie,

We are unconditional supporters.

Win or lose we will still love you and the boys... However, don't let us down!

Japan vs the All Blacks

If you know me at all you will know that I love Japan. Japan... Japanese people... Hello Kitty... everything (except the seafood - but I can admit that the Japanese can make it *look* pretty, but I don't want to taste it). If was wasn't living in NZ I would want to go and live in Japan near my wonderful, wonderful Japanese friends that I think about every day... So, it is kind of sad to watch them being hit by the ABs.

They have a player that is 70kg and as tall as me. Gulp. The only way that boy survives is that he is Japanese and therefore ROCK SOLID and REFUSES TO FEEL PAIN. His poor mother is probably refusing to watch the game however...

PS who knew that Ma'a Nonu is Mormon?

Tom's twin...

This isn't Tom's twin... this is Meg's Taniwha Disaster train cake. She had to do a research project for school so to display it she... made a cake. Yer. Uh huh.

This is Tom's twin. Though I've never seen Tom look this happy! (that's probably because he never had a birthday cake with his name on it) We can't get over how much he looks like Tom.

And the only person cuter than SBW is.... COLT

Thanks lads :)

There is room for improvement but it was the first game and they were probably all geared up after that Opening Ceremony, so I'll take that win against Tonga!
However, we must sort out our TV situation. The only place the TV works well is in the kids room, and no one can touch Megane's bed or it goes all fuzzy. So we were all crammed in there, taking turns on the other bed... watching the rugby. Lucy caved in after an hour and put herself to bed. Oh and Chuck, your old mate Tane Randall was doing commentry.

Rugby World Cup starts in less than an hour!

i'm not kidding, i've been waiting 4 years for this. as soon as we knew it was going to be held in New Zealand Seb and I started a countdown. yes, we would have followed the boys no matter where it was... but it is HERE. well not here exactly because the STINKING EARTHQUAKES destroyed all the Christchurch rugby fields, but here in NZ.
In less than an hour they will be doing the haka and then playing Tonga. we *will* win of course, but I'm so excited that i've had Dominic plug our tv into an antenna! I know!!! for a tv-phobe this is a big deal. he has been dragging the tv all over the house trying out different antenna plugs to see where we can get the best reception (for reasons unknow TV1 (as opposed to the other 3 channels) is not very clear, and that is of course who is screening this first game). Right, no more time to chat - must go and claim my spot for prime viewing! eeeeeeeeeeee!!!! The World Cup! THE RUGBY WORLD CUP!!!
