Dunedin Butterfly Museum with the Hedderwicks :)

We went down to Dunedin last week for the day (crazy insane, I know to drive 4 hours for the day) but we got to see our lovely Hedderwicks, and I got some work done. While there we went to the Dunedin Museum and visited the (live) butterfly exhibit. It is amazing. All kinds of rain forest type butterflies fly around you (and sit on your finger if you stand still for long enough)... It is very hot in their enclosure, but totally worth it. It has 3 levels so you can wander around in there for ages... One of the kids favourite things was the bridge (slippery, high-up bridge I'd like to point out). After the butterflies we went to the Discovery Center where we got to test our all kinds of cool stuff... what light is most relaxing, what smells are repulsive, how much your heart races when looking at something relaxing-then-scary. It was awesome and we can't wait to go back down there. Next time we are going for a long weekend - we want to see Dunedin, the Hedderwicks and the McAlpines!!! Oh and the CADBURY FACTORY WITH THE CHOCOLATE WATERFALL :)

Seb is on the school "rep" hockey team

Okay, so it is true. He is hockey mad. Ice hockey AND normal hockey! He got on the school team and was sooooo excited to get issued his uniform and travel in the bus to Hagley Park... and then kick the trash of Fendalton School. (17/2 I think) Since he played at 1pm dad met me there and cheered him on - lil' Murra loved it!

Lucy and her friends at school

Did I post this picture already? I keep looking at it thinking about what a wee treasure she is, and how sweet her friends are. Every morning she looks forward to going to school so she can dump her bag and books, then dash outside and play on the bars and flying fox (it is like a swing that you hold onto and go from one end of a pole/rope to the other end) with them. They all look after each other and play so nicely together :)

Lucy's drawing

Yes, we are all Teddy Bears... not sure what that must "mean", but the picture sure is cute. I love my Lucy xxx

New Brighton Beach at 5.15pm Mothers Day

We went down to the beach for a quick run-around this evening, just because it was so nice outside... The sunset was gorgeous and the waves sooooo pretty. It wasn't really warm enough to be out swimming, but hey, each to their own (there were at least a dozen people in the water). I hope you enjoy the photos xxx
