Dunedin Butterfly Museum with the Hedderwicks :)
We went down to Dunedin last week for the day (crazy insane, I know to drive 4 hours for the day) but we got to see our lovely Hedderwicks, and I got some work done. While there we went to the Dunedin Museum and visited the (live) butterfly exhibit. It is amazing. All kinds of rain forest type butterflies fly around you (and sit on your finger if you stand still for long enough)... It is very hot in their enclosure, but totally worth it. It has 3 levels so you can wander around in there for ages... One of the kids favourite things was the bridge (slippery, high-up bridge I'd like to point out). After the butterflies we went to the Discovery Center where we got to test our all kinds of cool stuff... what light is most relaxing, what smells are repulsive, how much your heart races when looking at something relaxing-then-scary. It was awesome and we can't wait to go back down there. Next time we are going for a long weekend - we want to see Dunedin, the Hedderwicks and the McAlpines!!! Oh and the CADBURY FACTORY WITH THE CHOCOLATE WATERFALL :)
