100 days to build, $30 million... drum roll please!

Tonight the Crusaders are back playing at home!
After 22 months of having our rugby team play everywhere else (no facilities here due to the earthquakes) we finally have a new "stadium"! Sure, it cos $30 million to build (gasp!), but it only took 1o0 days (which gives me hope for when they eventually get around to building RESIDENTIAL HOUSES) and the rest of the country helped out - the artificial grass and seats have come from Mt Smart Stadium, food and beverage facilities and steel from Carisbrook and Eden Park, the lights are from Carisbrook, the goalposts, turf and the big screen from AMI Stadium.... and tonight is the night! Sebastien and Dom are going to the game :)

Good luck boys!

This is all I've got for now... I have to charge the camera batteries. As you can imagine, this was my favourite bit of the whole concert

Room Service

The girls love Room Service... there are pixies waiting 24/7 to serve them! Of course it is helpful to get the right number when dialing for help...

Sunday 9.50am Grace calls Reception… Ring-ring… ring-ring… ring-ring…
Grace « Umm, hi, I was wondering if you have a printer ? »
Indian guy with a really strong accent “Yes…”
“Can we email you something to be printed out?”
“Well, what kind of document is it?”
“It’s just a word document…”
Really bad connection – “hello? Hello?”
“Are you aware you have called THE KITCHEN?”
“Ummm no”

(I'm laughing so hard I am crying! What a shame I missed the call to Reception where they requested fluffier pillows (I was napping) - sounds like that call was a great one.)

Taylor Swift Concert Part 3

Looking for the Vector Arena... We are staying in a hotel that's walking distance from downtown (please note the Sky Tower)

The queue for merchandise is REALLY LONG! and where is Taylor? Why isn't she outside greeting her fans?

This might look like a photo of the girls waiting for their dinner (hotel restaurant) but really you should be looking at the super cool programme from the concert... it has awesome pictures!

Taylor Swift Concert Part 2 (but these photos are all out of order)

Chillin' in the hotel: reading the paper for reviews of the first concert, about to make an entry in their Travel Scrapbook

"We're going to Auckland to see TAYLOR SWIFT!!!" (at the Christchurch Airport)

Taylor Swift concert trip Part 1

La Cigale French Market...

Cherry donuts (don't worry, I had almond croissant)

We watched a chocolate making demonstration - and got to make/taste these... DIVINE

Watching the St Patrick's Day Parade on Queen Street. My favourite part was the Chinese Irish segment :)

IVF drugs (and no, not for me....)

Be frightened. Be very frightened by the people that are on IVF drugs - and there are tons of them out there... Here is an email that I got from one of them

Crazy has come to stay.
Here is what I have been up to:
-Called the USA at 2.30am to scream at customer service in Bed, Bath and Beyond because my 2000tc sheets have pilling.
-Hearing things that are not happening. I *know* they are not happening but I hear them anyway. (apparently the reason for this is the dizziness. It causes rushing in my ears and my brain is trying to interpret the sound of it into things that I know - like sliding doors closing etc.)
-Got up at 6.30am to hang up sheets. Forgot that the 2 yr old was still asleep and thought I had lost him. Was running around the backyard balling my eyes out and screaming from him when The Significant Other came out and found me.
-Made dinner at 10.30 this morning because I thought it was tea time.
-Threw a box of Cocoa Pops in the supermarket and yelled "ITS SHIT LIKE THIS THAT IS KILLING CHILDREN!"
I'm madder than a cut snake. And its only 2.18.

Bebe Alice

Look look look!!!

Isn't she adorable?! And can you see her mum in the background? This photo made me cry. Don't worry about the incubator, she is 1 day prem, but she is fine.

Her name is Alice and I am an aunty again.

Happy day!
