The morning after...

I feel like I slept a plank - the phone rang at 6am (we didn't get to it - we have to put shoes on before we move around the house, and then pick our way thru stuff) and I feel stiff and sore - it was a long night. The kids were so shaken last night that Dom went and slept in with Lucy and Sebastien and I had Megane in our bed. Let me just say she was more of a nuisance than the aftershocks! She kept moving on my side of the bed, and she is *hot* when she sleeps. She also talks and snorts and **freaks out** every time the house shakes. I am about to go and check out the house and see what further damage occurred last night. Thankfully my wee ones, and Dom are still asleep. No word yet from Dad, but I know when he finally leaves work he will drop by here and let me know he is okay.
80% of the city is without water. The water mains burst. Grrrr, there is nothing worse than being thirsty and dirty, with no hope of a shower anywhere. I am a clean freak - I'll admit that - so a natural disaster really cramps my style!
